I have a C7280, and the latest 64-bit driver I can find does not allow the scanner to work properly on Win7 RC. On a 32 bit installation, everything works fine with the latest downloaded 32-bit driver. Both of these were Vista drivers, should I be trying the XP 64-bit driver? I assumed that would be a bad move. Anyone got the scanner working properly on a 64 bit installation for Win7 RC1?

The problem with the scanner is that it'll scan from the document feeder, but it keeps complaining about the feeder being a problem if you try to scan from the glass. Also, I notice that the 32 bit version uses the WIA interface, and the 64 bit version only offers the TWAIN driver. I'd love to get this working, as I use the scanner, and don't want to have to use the 32 bit version to do the scanning. MVP - Windows Desktop Experience.

I don't know about the AIO not running, since mine is on all the time, didn't even think of that. The thing that's annoying is the 32 bit version of Win7 installed and runs perfectly. When I install the 64 bit drivers, I can't get the scanner working. I don't even care about the FAX, since I just stick stuff manually in that for the occasional FAX I send. When I started with Vista, I initially went with the 64 bit version and had to drop back when I had tons of driver availability issues, apparently those troubles are not behind me yet.

The way computer hardware is going, I can't understand why these guys haven't gotten the 64 bit stuff out of the backroom! MVP - Windows Desktop Experience.

Running in Vista SP1 compatibility managed to find the printer, however the original issue remains. It will scan if you put stuff in the feeder, but it won't scan from the glass. I get an error every time that reads: Originals were removed from the input tray of the automatic feeder. Please replace the originals and restart the scan. If the preview window is showing, you may click the New Scan button.

To scan from the scanner glass instead, make sure that all items are removed from the automatic feeder, close the HP Scanning software, and restart the scan. Obviously, doing all of this doesn't change the error, it still refused to scan from the document glass. Again, Win7 32-bit works perfectly with the same scanner. MVP - Windows Desktop Experience. For whatever reason, I removed EVERYTHING, and even went and searched the registry and removed all I could find, then installed the full package in compatibility mode for Vista SP1 (instead of Vista SP2 that I used previously), and suddenly it all works as expected!:-) I have no idea why SP2 had such an effect, it was the same installation file for either.

I suspect that using the compatibility modes is like dancing on a wire, one slip and you fall! Lenovo Y510p Drivers Windows 10 on this page. That was the last big hurdle to me moving over to Win7 as my primary working system.

MVP - Windows Desktop Experience. One little issue, which I guess I'll have to live with. I noticed that one of the HP modules was suddenly sucking up all of one of my cores processing power. Rebooting fixed it, but obviously it's not perfect yet. I happened to notice that I had 25% CPU usage when nothing was running, one core was running at 100% for that module.

I forgot to note the exact module, I'll try to remember that next time I notice it misbehaving. It might be because I put the system to sleep when I leave it, and I don't reboot every day.
