Asus Sabertooth X58 Windows 10 Drivers

I have noticed a number of problems with the ide-achi-raid drives for windows 10. First my intel raid 0 drive is notice by windows 10 as a ssd drive. If i update intel software no change. Second if I install the marvell sata 6g from windows 10 install or any driver. The windows system see the drive connected as a HDD, yet if i use standard achi drivers its noticed as a ssd.

On the Intel array i have 2x wd HDD 500gb as a raid 0 marvell chip has a samsung ssd 850 pro. And the last problem is i have windows 10 installed on me ssd drive, yet if i go in to devices it think the system in on the raid drive. I first noticed this problem in the windows 10 defrag tool. Aye but this problem seems to be from windows 8 that's more than enough time to help. Yet have solved this now for the Intel rst I use the pree install 12.9.0.1001 version this seems to be a intel issule and there looking it to it yet its taking some time. The marvell problem of the safe removal icon plus the system not thinking its the main drive i fixed this by adding 2 entry's to regedit, search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Class 4d36e97b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318 When you find this your have some folders for that reg key look for the one with Marvell all over it for me it was 003 then make a new string value and name that DriverPolicySet and set the value as 1, then make 1 more new multi string vaule and name that IncludeInfs and enter machine.ini. As I say, this is with the default windows drivers.

I did not pre install any windows 10 drives and it was a clean install. On a unformatted drive. My motherboard bios is newer than the one gigabyte supplies and cant see this having anything to do with this problem. As in windows 7 there is no problem. If I updated the standard SATA AHCI driver to any Marvell driver my SSD drive went to a HDD. If I update the intel raid drivers from version 13.2.0.1022 default windows install. to any my HDD is still seen as a SSD. If I use the 14.x series of intel rst driver.

My raid drive will vanish and the driver will not install. Yet think that is due to the age of the intel chip. Was only supported up to 13.2.4.1000 My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev2.0). Yet cant see why windows 10, see's my drives incorrectly. Maybe its just the windows 10 defrag tool.

My three spindle drives in RAID 0 are also showing up as an SSD. It did this in windows 8 and 8.1, I had to run and old Intel version 12.8.0.1016 driver (Asus x79 Sabertooth) to make it work correctly. All the newer drivers showed the same problem of spindle drives in RAID 0 being SSD's. Now I have done a Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 upgrade and The driver has been replaced with a newer driver and is broken too. I tried the latest Intel driver run WINSAT Same issue. I tried installing the old intel 12.8.0.1016 driver and it left me booting to a BSOD. A fresh install may let me install the old ver.

12.8.0.1016 driver but I do not have time right now for a complete system reload to test it to see. Were the drivers installed on a Fresh install of Win 10 or after a upgrade from a 8.1 to Win 10. The upgrade installed 13.1.0.58, I tried the rollback in the device manager, it said something like no previous drivers found, when I try to install the old ver. 12 driver it uninstalls the old drivers and software first and then reboots and that is when I get the BSOD.

I did not try to install 12.9.0.1001 driver as on windows 8.1 that driver caused my RAID stripe to write faster than it would read on the X79 chipset and the 12.8.0.1016 worked fine and seemed to be the only driver to work correctly on my system. If you look at windows 8.1 drivers on the Asus web site there is a IRST and an IRSTe (enterprise) driver available, you must use one or the other from a fresh load as there seem to be no way to change them one for the other on a live system. My point is that there might be a different driver for the X79 SATA controller because no other driver has ever worked right for me on windows 8.1 and some of the drivers on the intel site when trying to install will say no compatible hardware found. Also there is a chance that Windows 8.1 may have been running the IRSTe driver, I can't remember which one I used on my old OS (8.1).

OK I got the 12.9.0.1001 to install. This is how it went. I got the same BSOD on install as with the 12.8 drives, recovered from that. Then installed the new ver. 14 drivers, it still thinks RAID 0 spindle set is SSD.

While the 14 series drivers in place I installed the 12.9 drivers and it worked. The read/write performance is a bit slower than the 12.8 drivers on Win8.1, is off by about 50 to 70 MB/s. Then I went to C: Windows Performance WinSAT DataStore backed up then deleted all the files in here, all but 3 were from windows 8.1 and the other three had messed up date codes (0015-09-15 instead of 2015-09-15) on the.xml files. Then run from a Admin CMD 'winsat formal'.

Now my RAID 0 can be defragmented. Now back to why Hyper-V host will not run.

Razer Diamondback Driver Windows 10. Well There is trouble with the 12.9.0.1001 driver on Windows 10. I get a BSOD on startup from sleep mode.

If I tell the PC to sleep it is ok, but I have it set to sleep in 1 hr. in the power options. When it wait the 1 hr. Before sleeping then I wake the PC up it reboots itself Twice and I find a BSOD event of 0x00000119.

This time I tried the 12.8.0.1016 RST drive and it installed. I do not get the double reboot with a BSOD on wake up from sleep. I think I am going to roll windows 10 back to 8.1 there is just way too much wrong and it feels to be an unfinished product. I will try again in nine months, maybe.

Is you Raid 0 a spindle drive set or SSD? I could not install the 12.x drivers after Windows 10 upgrade as it would BSOD on boot after install, but when I installed the 14.x drivers from the Intel site, rebooted just to find out it did not fix the problem, then it let me in stall the 12.x drivers without a problem. Although the 12.9.0.1001 were giving me BSODs the 12.8.0.1016 are working ok. Also I used the full installer an not just the F6 drivers. You can disable the RST software via the task manager after install if you don't want it running all the time.

Maybe I don't get the BSOD as my windows 10 system is on the marvell array, and I have 2 HDD as raid 0 on my intel array. Reason I use the floppy drivers as the rst can cause install problems, if its updating or rolling back on drivers. So I installed the 12.x floppy drivers for x64 via device manager then install the rst. Also have you tried a clean install of windows 10 and installing intel drivers before install?

Intel drivers 14.x would not work for me at all on windows 10. Installing would hang when looking for the HDD then install by disabling my hdd, it would not be visable via the system. As the system file would fail to work. Aye but this problem seems to be from windows 8 that's more than enough time to help.

According to this 'SD-PEX40079_Manual.pdf' ( I can't attach file to this conf for now) manual of one of the Marvel 9230 card no need Sata driver install for Windows 8 (probably for Windows 10 too). Only need to change driver for one of the other underfine device to 'Marvel Unity Configuration'. The full driver for example from 1049 pack need only for windows xp or windows 2003 server. So, windows standart driver works fine with SSD to determine Solid State Drive in Defrag tool and trimcheck also check trim OK. I use old X38 motherboard P5E64 WS PROFESSIONAL.

But I have another problem with HYPERDUO MANAGING FOLDER in Windows 10. Hyperduo HDD+SSD created fine. But first of all in last MSU ver. 4.1.02031 doesn't show me even HYPERDUO SERVICE leaf window of the tree for manage HYPERDUO and show status of CASH SSD, manage CASH folders etc. But I found workaround to make HYPERDUO BUTTON here but even after that instead of manage screen window and status of my SSD I see 'No valid volume found!' Error message.
