Windows 10 Prevent Driver Update

Windows Update for Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607 OS Build 14393.321) is updating the latest NVidia graphics driver with an older version. I have 'Enable this policy to not include drivers with Windows quality updates' via Local Group Policy Editor, but it continues to change my graphics driver to an older version. I posted this questions in the Windows Community Forum, and here is the response: You may also uninstall the latest update for NVidia driver and download it manually from the NVidia website. To turn off automatic updates for the NVidia driver, please follow the steps below: • Search Services on the Start menu. • Look for NVIDIA Display Driver Service from the list, right click on it and select Properties. • Click on the Stop button to disable it for the session. • You may receive a message stating that disabling this service will also stop the NVIDIA Streamer Network Service.

Disabling drivers update by using Group Policy editor. This method can be performed in Windows 10 Pro and higher. Find setting Prevent installation of devices that match any of these device and double click on it.

• Click on Yes if the prompt appears. • Switch the Startup type from Automatic to Disabled. Dell Inspiron N4010 Bluetooth Driver For Windows 10. • Click Apply.

I tried the suggestion, but Windows Update uninstalled the new driver and put back the old driver. The last response from the Windows Community Forum was to post my issue in TechNet Forum.

Windows 10 Prevent Driver Update

Hi, I'm using Build 10051 and windows update tries to update drivers with Windows Update. But there is an issue related to RealTek Driver and as soon as It installs this update, I get a blue screen of death:( Is there a way to disable driver updates in this build? I know this was available with build 9926 as It did have disable specific updates button. I think Microsoft should bring back this disable option for at least third party driver updates. Edit: I installed build 10061 and I still get blue screen of death as soon as I installed third party driver updates through Windows Update. Microsoft should bring back the hide updates option for third party driver updates at least. Edit: Only workaround I found is disabling Windows Update alltogether.

Just Google disabling windows update using Group Policy:(.
