Just wanted to add, That for anyone reading this & as the same Issue, This action DID WORK for me. Did you see how it disconnected like the batteries were low, in the youtube video above. Well I have changed battery numerous times.

Sometimes it works for hours. Other times it will just keep disconnecting and trust me it's not that batteries and I did the install correctly the first time around. Anyone know how to fix that part?

Hello guyz, I found a solution for your terrible problem with Non-Official Wireless Reciver. Here it comes: Download the driver from the official websie: pick the windows 7 version. Than extract the.exe with When you do go to the device manager, pick the Unknown Device and follow the steps from video above until you get to the part, where the guy has the Reciver on the list, you don't. Instead use Show All Devices. It will lead you to Use Disk, than pick the.inf file from the extracted.exe from offical driver. In my case it was E: Downloads Xbox360_64Eng xbox360 setup64 files driver win7 xusb21.inf There you will find your reciever on the list and voila. Your Polish nerd .

I couple of years ago i purchased an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (The official white one with XBOX 360 written on the front). I have been using it on windows 7 with no problems, but i do remember that it was a pain to set up. I have just been trying to set it up on Windows 10 Home and i cannot get it to work. I have tried using both the 2015 and 2009 drivers as detailed in this guide but this does not work for me.

I have also tried following the official installation instructions posted whereby installing the drivers on the CD provided, then downloading the extra program. This also didn't work. I have also tried variations of both of these and also different USB ports in case that was causing the problem.

In the mean time though, i am sticking with the port i know worked under Windows 7 now the interesting thing is that when i plug in the dongle, i hear the 'device connected' sound instantly followed by the 'device disconnected' sound. This is irrespective of whether i have the drivers installed or not. No matter what i do, it connects then disconnects straight away, even when this happens it still shows under device manager (as either 'unknown Device' or Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows'.

All seemed to install fine and it shows under device manager as correctly installed but the still will not flash when pressed and will not connect to any wireless controllers.
