I can no longer get the XboxOne controller to function properly with the wireless adapter. A couple months ago I was already running Windows 10 x64 from the free.

Windows 10 Xbox Wireless Adapter Driver

Yeah I've been using the catalog. 3945abg Windows 10 Driver more. update drivers since the start. I tested the November 2015 Xbox Adapter drivers just now using the INF edit method to install them. They are still not working, and I'm encountering the exact same issues as outlined here already. New drivers tested: • AMD64-all-20804394_4ce527eafaa278bf56f4a15998a561 (11/3/2015 - 21.50.58.120 212 KB) • X86-all-20804826_ce6df4ae47a944dfa7764f19e8d744 ( - 21.34.54.237 - 189 KB) I contacted the person on steam community that claimed they got it working on Windows 7, and it seems to me like they are not telling truth? Here is a history of our chat: As far as I know as of December 10th 2015, no one has the Xbox One Wireless Adapter working on Windows 7/8 yet. Potentially got the new driver earlier?

I got my adapter to work on Windows 7, you have to download a different driver file from the Microsoft update site. If you follow these directions to search, you will see a bunch of files listed. • Go to: catalog.update.microsoft.com (it has to be opened with Microsoft Internet Explorer) • Search for 'Xbox Wireless' which should give you 13 results • a) The one you want for Windows 7 (and I presume Win 8) is 'Microsoft - Generic Controller - Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows', it is dated 1-1-2015 (I guess Microsoft had it working long ago). • Open that shopping cart thing in the top right • Download the driver to any folder and go there and unpack it using winzip/winrar • Plug in the wireless receiver and open the device manager • It should show the troublesome receiver as an unknown device called 'XBOX ACC' • Right click the device, select update driver, select choose manually • Navigate to the folder where you unpacked the downloaded thingy • Install ->PROFIT This worked for me, I briefly tested it.

You have to connect your controller with the button on the dongle, holding the xbox button turns the controller off.
