Just wanted to share that I have used multiple older Creative cards - including SB0460 (of which there are multiple versions and designs). I have not had a problem with any of them in Vista, Win 7 or Win 8. I just installed a used SB0460 in a Win 7 Pro (64) with a G33 board and an E8400 CPU. All of my systems are fully up to date with Service Packs and other MS updates. The only problem I have with these sound cards is the result of a natural death. In this case the card may have a heart attack and not work, but then recover for a while before final death.
