Reinstall Synaptics Touchpad Driver Windows 10. For me and my notebook model, I can adjust display brightness again (Fn+F2 and Fn+F3) and the Easy Settings wizard (Fn+F1) can be invoked. Switching LCD / external display seems to work (at least there is a corresponding OSD pop-up when hitting Fn+F4) and it also confirms enabling and disabling the touchpad by Fn+F5 by OSD message. The soft-eject button Fn+DEL (for ejecting a CD/DVD/Blu-ray) seeems to work, too. For me, keyboard backlight and power management (silent running) won't work this way and clicking on incompatible functions in Easy Settings wizard might cause the program to close, but that I can live with.

Display brightness was the most important thing and that works now. The volume control Fn-keys work out-of-the-box without Samsung software (Windows 10 OSD confirmation), installing Easy Display Manager just gives additional OSD feedback. I hope this will proove helpful for others with missing Fn-key support. Results may and will differ depending on the Samsung notebook model you have! First, try to get a current version that is specific for your device before trying out this one!
