I have searched for an update for this chipset and I can't find one anywhere. The upgrade advisor never said it was incompatible just that an update was available, so should I ignore this message and will WINDOWS 7 install okay without an error for the chipset. I realize it will either install or won't. My concern is that it is the wrong chipset, its a 630i not 630M.

When You will run file with chipset drivers form Nvidia site there will be questions what You want to install. When You will see question about Sedona don't install it by choosing no. It makes mistakes and yes You should try to install Vista drivers for Your model first like I wrote in previous post. Link from Vivian is correct for You. There won't be released Win7 drivers for dv9000 series by HP so You may only try HP Vista drivers or from vendors of Your devices.

Remember about trying also compablity mode. Many users installed Win7 system on this model without any problems so You should do that with success too.:) Windows Update on Win7 is last thing which You should do. Only if drivers from HP or vendors of Your devices don't work then You may run it.
